Community Outreach Counseling

Travis Wendorff is currently an intern pursuing a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Capella University and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Law Enforcement from Ridgewater College.

 

Travis plans to use the skills he gained from his time in law enforcement as he prepares for his therapy sessions. His experience enables him to connect with people on a deeper level, demonstrating empathy and maintaining a calm presence. These traits align perfectly with his goal of improving his clients' mental well-being through a supportive and solution-focused approach. This method creates a welcoming space where clients feel empowered to tackle and overcome the challenges they face in their lives.

 

Travis has been married for 13 years, and he and his wife have four sons together. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering as a coach for his boys' football team, which includes 5th and 6th graders. He enjoys watching his kids play sports during the winter, traveling with his family, attending concerts, and being an active member of their church community.
