Kristy Nystrom is a Marriage and Family Therapist with over 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Marketing Communications from the University of North Dakota and Master of Arts degree from Adler Graduate School with an emphasis in Counseling Psychotherapy.


Kristy has provided services with individuals and families through in-home family services, school based mental health services, day treatment group therapy, partial hospitalization, and in the outpatient office setting. Her areas of specialty include abuse and trauma; foster care/residential setting of children/adolescents, teenage issues, parents/teenage social issues, self-esteem and healthy relationships, transitions and life adjustments, oppositional behaviors, anxiety, and/or depression.


Kristy is committed to providing an encouraging environment for her clients. Her passion is to help others discover their self-worth, build healthy relationships, and live healthy and fulfilling lives.


Kristy is married and the mother of three adorable and spirited children. In their free time, Kristy and her family enjoy many activities year round including anything on the water, hockey, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with extended family.
