Kelly Kveene, MA LMFT
Kelly Kveene has been working with children, adolescents, adults and families for over 22 years in the Willmar area. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Kelly attended Adler Graduate School where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy and completed Minnesota licensure in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2010.
Kelly has provided services to families and individuals in a variety of settings: in-home family services, youth and adult partial hospitalization programs, day treatment programs, crisis intervention services, school-linked mental health services, Level IV Educational & Therapeutic services, and in the outpatient office settings. Her areas of expertise include trauma and abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, behavioral disorders, child and adolescent developmental stressors and transitions, and relationship concerns.
Kelly believes in creating a safe, trusting relationship as a cornerstone for therapy. Her approach is individualized to each unique situation and uses a variety of therapeutic techniques as well as humor, play, and creativity to achieve improved emotional well-being and life functioning.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys caring for her small farm of animals, gardening, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
